When Hard Skills and Experience Are not Enough‍

Everyone is different and is motivated by different factors. But how do you navigate this in a complex, international organization? And how do you go beyond hard skills, experience, and competencies when the best consultants go to work for clients?

JUMBO Consulting Group had no clear answers to these questions when they started using Personpilot in the spring of 2023. However, as an international consulting business, where many of the employees often work with customers in long-term offshore projects, there was a need to explore the possibilities of mapping and clarifying 'soft skills' more closely.

Mikkel Riisgaard, People Operations Specialist at JUMBO Consulting Group, convinced his closest colleagues in the spring of 2023 that Personpilot was worth trying. Today, it plays an important role for both employees and management:

With the data foundation in place and all employees' personality profiles in Personpilot, it provides several benefits in the daily work. Most of Mikkel's working time is allocated to recruitment, and here he can offer candidates to take an assessment as part of the recruitment process. This leaves a good impression on the candidate, even if they don't get the job.

When onboarding new employees, the creation and introduction to Personpilot is a regular part of the process. It is well received by new employees - especially the more experienced ones, who know the importance of good teamwork, and see value in gaining insight into their colleagues' personality profiles.

There is one situation in particular where Personpilot really comes in handy, says Mikkel:

“We often have employees who change location in one of our 10 offices. When you move into a new office, it's great to be able to see other people's profiles and get a basic understanding of the question: Who are my colleagues?”

Better opportunities for a healthy feedback culture ‍
